The Jame’ah is a combination of both the Masjid educational institutes known as Jame’ Masjid and Jame’ah Uloomul Qur’an respectively.
The Jame’ah was established in 1977 (1297AH) under the patronage of Hadhrat Shaykh Maulana Adam Sahib دامت براكته in the heart of Leicester. The Masjid and educational institutes offer a wide range of facilities and services for the Muslim community.
Jame' Masjid is based in the heart of the Muslim community within Leicester. The Masjid offers a wide range of services to cater for the local community, ranging from educational facilities to marriage ceremonies and funeral arrangements.
The Masjid underwent major construction work which were complete in 2010. These works ensured the provisions of a larger place of worship along with facilities and services to cater for the expanding Muslim community.
The Masjid is open for all prayers throughout the year whilst providing necessary facilities within the Masjid for the Musallees. The Masjid offers many services, from amongst which some are as follows:
• Islam embracing,
• Religious guidance and counselling,
• Funeral and bereavement
• Daily lectures and lessons
The Jame’ah also constitutes of the educational institutes, more popularly known as Jame’ah Uloomul Qur’an. The educational institute consisted of only a handful of students in its primary years. It has, Alhumdulillah, with the support of the community, expanded to cater for a range of educational needs for the Muslim community.
There are a wide range of classes and courses available for both girls and boys from which some are as follows:
• Maktab / Madrasah
• Darul Uloom / ‘Ilmiyyah
• Hifdh Classes
• Part Time ‘Ilmiyyah Classes
• Adult Classes
• Academic Subjects
The Jame’ah aims to provide a comprehensive range of education for the entire Muslim community and therefore the classes commence with children as young as the age of 3 ½ to adults who attend regular classes or join the lessons within the Masjid to increase their knowledge and understanding of Islam or to correct their recitation of the Qur’an
